COLONY-LEVEL EFFECTS OF IMIDACLOPRID IN SUBTERRANEAN TERMITES
A recent study “Colony-Level Effects of Imidacloprid in Subterranean Termites” conducted by Vincent Parman and Edward L. Vargo of the Department of Entomology, North Carolina State University, has been published in the Journal of Economic Entomology. Results of this study show the colony-level effects of Premise® (imidacloprid) on Subterranean termite colonies (Reticulitermes spp.), often resulting in severe reductions in colony size or colony elimination. more
INTERNATIONAL SPEAKER'S TOUR IN SEPTEMBER
Bayer Environmental Science is hosting a series of seminars in Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast and Brisbane throughout September. International speaker is Professor Fred Yelverton, who is Professor of Crop Science and Extension Specialist at North Carolina State University, and is also Co-director of the Centre for Turfgrass Environmental Research and Education (CENTERE). more
TGAA'S CRICKET WICKET SEMINAR A REAL HIT!
Bayer Environmental Science recently participated in the TGAA’s (Turf Grass Association of Australia) Cricket Wicket Seminar, held at the MCG. The Seminar covered such topics as “Drop in” wickets; Synthetic wickets and covers; Skilled Stadium recent projects and turf installation/conversions; Junction Oval redevelopment and country cricket club expectations of wickets; and Consistency of ball bounce on wickets. Guest Speaker, Bushrangers Coach, Greg Shipperd, also gave an update on the Victorian Bushrangers. more

Bayer Environmental Science was a proud sponsor of the AGCSA’s 26th Australian Turfgrass Conference & Exhibition on the Gold Coast, Queensland, in June. The Conference & Trade Exhibition were highly successful and attended by approximately 500 delegates over the two-days. Bayer Environmental Science sponsored the Welcome Reception at DreamWorld which was very popular amongst delegates and proved to be a lot of fun! Rides such as the Cyclone Rollercoaster, the V8 Racing Cars and the Wave Rider were all very popular amongst guests. more
