PEST MANAGER 'BAGS' BAYER PRIZE AT AEPMA
Bayer Environmental Science was recently the major sponsor of AEPMA (Australian Environmental Pest Managers Association) Conference: ‘The Hands-on Pest Manager’, held in Homebush, Sydney.
The focus of this conference was twofold: the first day was directed towards business owners and office staff and the second day for technicians and anyone involved in the practical side of the business. Presentations on the first day covered topics such as Technology useful to the Pest Industry; Debt Management/Cash Management; Business Plans; Time Management; Motivation & Recruitment, Sales & Marketing Concepts, etc.
The second day covered more practical presentations and demonstrations, such as Choice of formulation; Equipment selection and dusting techniques; spray nozzle and application; bed bug treatments, etc.
Bayer Environmental Science conducted a ‘Business Card Draw’, offering a Bait Bag full of Bayer products and promotional items to the value of $500. Entry was open to Pest Managers who visited the Bayer Environmental Science stand. The prize draw took place during the lunch-break on the second day of the Conference, and the winner was announced.
Jay Lee from Jay Pest Control, based in Prospect, New South Wales, bagged the prize! Jay is pictured here (right) being congratulated at the Bayer stand by Brett Black, Regional Sales Manager, Professional Pest Control – NSW for Bayer Environmental Science.
Jay has been operating his Pest Control business for three years and employs one other pest manager. Although based in Prospect, Jay’s business operates throughout the Western Sydney area.
Jay was impressed by the ‘Hands-On Pest Manager Conference and commented that he had gained valuable information that he considered extremely worthwhile. Jay said “It’s great to get up-to-date information on the industry and gain more knowledge. I have found this Conference very valuable”.
Jay said “I am so happy to win this Bayer prize. I use Bayer products all the time in my business. I really like Maxforce Gel for cockroaches and Ficam W for bed bugs, but I also use other products such as Tempo, Coopex, Cislin 25 and Starycide. The Bayer Environmental Science products are reliable and effective”, he added.
